CASTENRAY

Direct to the east of the village center lies the A73. Southwest of Castenray is the 70-hectare nature area, the Castenrayse Vennen, around the valley of the Lollebeek. On the west side of Castenray, against the village boundary, lies the 'Castenrayse Berg'. This is a forested area with sand dunes. Also located there is the water area Breehei. The Lollebeek springs up on the southwest side of Castenray and flows out on the southeast side into the Groote Molenbeek. At the Castenrayseweg, east of the A73 begins a beautiful walking route that runs along the meandering Lollebeek and a pond called De Diepeling to the Groote Molenbeek.
